
Bellydance: The Art of Layering
A dance series as fun as it is challenging.
This is a series of 8 hour-long dance classes that focus on combining movements to create limitless, dynamic vocabulary. You will learn how to layer beautiful arm movements, sharp isolations, soft shapes, rhythmic footwork, undulations, belly rolls, and lots of shimmies. You’ll be learning how to increase your skill with sharp musicality while adding tons of new steps and combinations to your dance arsenal. It is recommended that you have some dance experience for this class, as we will begin right in combining single movements into layers. However, many options and levels will be offered so that you can make each drill and combination as simple or as complex as you wish.
LIVE CLASSES will meet on Thursdays June 12 through July 31 from 9:30 to 10:30am Pacific Time.

Laying with multiple speeds: hip up locks plus footwork, chest isolations, shoulder shimmies, and arms!
