
Backbends & Arm Balances
Back and upper body strength meet shoulder stability and spinal flexibility in this 8-week strength-based flexibility course. Learn how to train to do safe and comfortable backbends and arm balances. Leave with skills to keep your wrists, elbows, shoulders and neck happy for life…and learn how to do a few cool tricks along the way.
Whether you’re a beginner trying to improve your upper body and back strength, or an advanced mover who is looking to achieve your next big trick goal, these 90-minute training sessions will help you progress to that next level of strength and flexibility.
As a yoga, Pilates and rehabilitative exercise specialist and as a professional dancer and contortion enthusiast, I am passionate about offering classes to ALL LEVELS. If you have wrist or shoulder issues, I’ll show you how to modify by using different hand, arm and body positions. We will build strength through the use of not only body weight, but bands and weights as well (we’ll use a long band, a loop band and/or a few sets of dumbells depending on what you have.) You’ll work with the current range of motion and variation of poses that you have, and I’ll guide you on how to progress from wherever you are.
This 8-week course will help you get upside-down and backwards in the most delightful ways!
Classes will be held LIVE via Zoom on Wednesdays from 5:30-7pm Pacific Time from May 7 through June 28. Recordings are available on my website right here for lifetime access.
